Without convictions, you are at the mercy of circumstances that happen to you.

2. How do we grow in conviction?
a. Have the fear of God
b. Must have aspiration
c. We must have a commitment to the scriptures standard of thinking
d. Not let struggles go without a blessing (Jacob & the angel)
e. Must have a genuine desire to please God
f. We need to take responsibility for our own choices
3. Developing new convictions
a. Is it helpful physically, spiritually, and mentally
b. Does it bring me under its power
c. Will it hurt somebody else
d. Does it bring glory to God
