Following Jesus requires our whole life. Jesus submitted to the cross in his life. Submitting ourselves to the Cross of Christ by choice will require us to give up things that we think we may be owed. This is a personal choice and cannot be by accident or force. He who tries to save his life, will lose it. Pursuing power, wealth, and fame or medical solution to give us long life will result in losing our own life. When choosing to follow Jesus we choose the destination but not the path.
